DISCIPLINE AND PROCEDURE

In Part 3 of Dr. Harry Wong, He talked about the differences of  Discipline and Procedures inside the Classroom. He also said that An Effective Teacher are more on Managing the class than Disciplining the class. Moreover, He mentioned that the student should know their Teachers want and dislike just like being late, absent and other behavior of the student that the teacher will do not like. I Agree with Dr.Harry Wong that the number one problem in the classroom is not discipline but it is the lack of procedures and routines. I believe that procedure and routines make the students become more active in learning. As a teacher we should help our students to do things and discover their own skills. Also we must be positive in dealing in our student because this will encourage them to always think positive and believe that they will become successful in the future.

  1. Discipline is very important in classroom management and yes your idea about encouraging them to be positive is a bright idea because you help them to pursue their dreams.

  2. In school, we actually want our students to know how things are done. Procedures will help us manage the class. It will also involve the students in learning.

  3. Yes we can discipline our students but of course we should know that sometimes discipline is not the problem but rather we don't set the right procedure and routine inside the classroom.

  4. I agree that the problem is not discipline but the lack of procedure because there's no need to discipline if you already conditioned them to do well.

  9. I agree with you and to Dr. Harrt Wong. Discipline is not the problem. Why did I say so? Because, if you know what the procedure is then automatic discipline will follow.
